How to Apply
The Commonweal Foundation is able to fund only a very small percentage of the requests it currently receives. Many requests are declined not because they are lacking in merit, but because they do not match our programming guidelines.
Grant proposals must be submitted electronically by using the Commonweal Foundation's online application.
PLEASE NOTE: The Commonweal Foundation only accepts requests filed electronically.
Application Deadlines are February 1 and August 1.
All organizations seeking grants must prove tax-exempt eligibility under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Tax Code.
Only complete grant requests will be considered.
ANNUAL GRANT EVALUATIONS
Grantees must provide an annual grant evaluation report within one year of receipt of grant award and progress reports as requested. The Foundation will supply the template for these reports.
